Hi Caroline,
I was listening to the radio this morning to Tom Joyners syndicated Morning Show.
He features a black history segment every day. Today he spoke on Anne Brown. I became intrigues with learning more about her so I searched the web, all the while wondering, what did this woman look like, only to find that she was absolutely beautiful. I wish I had been under her influences as well. When I read your words, the way you decribe your feelings for her, my eyes became tearful. How proud you must have felt to know her. She reminds me quite a bit of my Grandmother. Who was my mentor and a wonderful woman as well.
I am sure that it saddened you greatly at her passing. But what a gift from God it was to actually know her. May God continue to bless you.

Yes, I believe that we all have a great responsibility and amazing ability to tend to our own happiness, and that nurturing the child within is a vital part of that process.

Resources, hmm. Personally, I love all the Sark play books. I also recommend doing Julia Cameron's book, The Artist Way, which is a wonderful twelve week course in nurturing the artist within, which essentially is the same as the child within:) For me, making space to allow my own creative expression without judgment or restriction has been amazingly helpful in dealing with sadness and grief in connection with those times where I have felt hurt or suppressed in any way.

So you're saying that we have to be the ones who are responsible for our own happiness? That we are the ones who need to take care of that sad inner child?

I think that may be where I need to start...

Can you suggest any resources?

So glad you had a renewed and positive experience in Paris. Not only did I get engaged there many year ago but last year, when I was in intensive care recovering from a five-hour operation Judy visited me and brought her wonderful energy. You sound renewed yourself! So glad your musical journey is going so well.

Dear Jorge,

Thank you for your interest.

I don't consider belting dangerous or unhealthy as long as it is done with the proper technique, such as speech level singing:)

For me, the word itself does not have a negative connotation. With the proper technique, you can belt out a tune without forcing it.

Love and Blessings, Caroline

Hi, there
I read something above that appeared to me as a contradiction. Someone said that Seth Riggs "taught me to connect my bridges and master the art of belting like Aretha Franklin". However as far as I know, Speech Level Singing teaches something very different from BELTING, which is usually regarded as unhealthy and quite dangerous. Could someone explain me that? Thanks

Yes, very soon, I am in the process of making all the songs from my CDs available for download. In the mean time, you can purchase the CDs directly from my website. Thanks for the feedback!
